MKM architecture + design has received two Building Contractors Association of Northeast Indiana (BCA) Awards for 2024. For the last 21 years, the BCA IMI Excellence in Construction Awards has highlighted projects of all types and sizes within a 75-mile radius of Fort Wayne completed in the past year. Projects were selected based on their uniqueness, impact on the community, BCA-member involvement, and safety efforts. Award recipients were honored at the Spring Membership Dinner & Awards Banquet, held on April 25, 2024.
Hartford City Public Library was selected as the winner in the Under $1 Million category for the library’s recent expansion and renovation. This project was completed in partnership with CME Construction. The project team worked to update and extend the gathering spaces, enhancing opportunities for community engagement.
Michael Kinder & Sons, Inc. was named as the winner in the $5 Million to $12 Million category for the new construction of its corporate headquarters. The completion of Michael Kinder & Sons’ new headquarters marks a significant milestone for the 131-year-old company, serving as an operational hub and a comprehensive showroom.
