Fort Wayne, Indiana
The Fairfield was established in 1900, originally constructed as the J.W. Kidd building, operating as a medical and agricultural mail-order business. Over the years, the building has been utilized for multiple businesses, including Boss Manufacturing’s glove and mitten factory, a repair and distribution center for General Electric, and various warehouse and retail locations.
Prior to its renovation, the three-story building was in disrepair. The Fairfield had been vacant for many years and required a complete overhaul – including the roof, floors, windows, and entirely new infrastructure. The design retained the industrial aesthetic, preserving the unique characteristics of the building.
Each floor offers a variety of amenities. The first-floor features Pinhouse Social, the city’s first duckpin bowling venue, a full restaurant and bar, and an area for bocce ball. Urban Golf will be housed on the second floor, with a full bar, pro shop with golfing accessories, and eight bays of golf simulators. The third floor will feature The Fairfield Wedding & Events, with a full catering kitchen, full bar, and a bridal suite.
