Members of our staff volunteered on at Science Central for an event celebrating 2024 World Architecture Day.
Officials held a ceremony celebrating Electric Works’ most recent development, the Elex, a mixed-use development located between Broadway Street and the Union Street Parking Garage on Lavina Street. The Elex is part of Phase Two of the campus’s development. The building’s name honors an organization of women employed at General Electric in 1916.
MKM architecture + design led the design of affordable housing apartments, units for individuals 55 and older, and units designated to accommodate individuals with disabilities. This portion of the mixed-use development will also include a fitness and wellness center, and commercial space for future amenities.
The project will be completed in the summer of 2025. Updates can be found at https://www.elexliving.com/.
