A Place Where Lives are Changed

A feasibility study for the Miracle Camp and Retreat Center created a vision for the future that aligns with the organization’s mission and values while scaling the guests’ experience to maintain a small community feel. This campus serves as a Christian youth camp that also has the capacity to host adult retreat events — a place where lives are changed. The planning goals were determined in phases and listed by priority, focusing on the following attributes: enhancing connections and experiences, enhancing quality of life, and long-term visioning.

The planning team worked to evenly disperse activity zones and to place amenities to best serve all portions of the 80-acre campus. Amenities include an event center/gymnasium, retail and coffee shop, expanded event field, and expanded dining. Using the built environment, counseling spaces were designed to feel impromptu and to encourage meaningful conversations naturally. Additionally, expanded dining and guest and staff housing will be completed in two phases.
