Bowen Center held a ceremonial groundbreaking for a new integrated healthcare facility, which will be located in Warsaw, IN.
Arts United of Greater Fort Wayne held a ceremonial groundbreaking event on August 7, 2024, to commence the expansion and modernization of the Arts United Center. The Arts United Center was designed by Louis I. Kahn and has served as a hub for the arts in Fort Wayne since 1973. The project began after an eight-year planning process that assessed the venue’s lack of accessibility, theatre technology needs, and functional needs.
The nearly $40 million project will include a 17,500 SF addition to the existing building and will modernize spaces to better accommodate the needs of patrons, performers, volunteers, and staff members. Capital funds were achieved through the A Soaring Vision campaign, which raised funds through private and public partnerships.
Construction for the Arts United Center is expected to last 18 months with a reopening scheduled for the fall of 2025.
