Byron Health partnering with MKM architecture + design to design new health center
Byron Health has partnered with MKM architecture + design to imagine a new campus celebrating the lives and unique needs of the residents they serve. Located on the corner of Beacon Street and Lake Avenue in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the 123,000-square-foot facility will consist of five nursing care neighborhoods that serve two households of twelve residents each. Fifty additional assisted living residential apartments will be designed to promote social integration and inclusivity. Common amenities include a campus café, wellness center, and multi-use event space, as well as other care, administrative, and support spaces.
“Byron has developed an innovative culture of care and respect, and the design of the new campus celebrates and encourages these person-centered priorities,” said Dodd Kattman, Principal at MKM.
Construction is anticipated to be complete in 2019.
