MKM architecture + design has received a Citation Award for Clark at Keller Lake in the 2023 AIA Indiana Healthcare Design Awards
Throughout the year, MKM architecture + design (MKM) shuts down our Fort Wayne office to host a public event we affectionately call the “Fishbowl.” It’s an afternoon where we invite some of our closest and most interesting friends to reflect on their careers, share their work, and discuss their ideas. With topics ranging from technology to toilet paper, the Fishbowl is intended to provide an intimate venue to talk, share, and learn about innovations in community health and well-being.
On August 3rd at 3:45 p.m., the Fishbowl will feature Mark Dooley. Mark is a native of Terre Haute, IN and has worked in the healthcare field for more than 30 years. A second-generation hospital executive, Mark’s experience includes 20 years as a hospital CEO in both investor-owned and independent hospitals. Prior to assuming the CEO role at Dupont Hospital in September of 2021, Mark was CEO at hospitals in the South and Midwest.
Throughout his career Mark has shown continued success in the areas of revenue growth, financial management and patient experience. Some of his major accomplishments include opening a cancer treatment center in Alabama, implementing a vascular surgery program in Ohio and building a heart care program in Florida. More recently, under Mark’s leadership Dupont Hospital is enjoying record growth and was recently recognized by its parent company, CHS, with the 2022 Quality and Safety Award for Patient Experience.
In recent years Mark has served as a panel presenter at the Becker’s Healthcare Annual Conference as well as the Kentucky Hospital Association Annual Meeting. Mark is actively involved in the Fort Wayne community and currently serves on the boards for Greater Fort Wayne, Inc. as well as Habitat for Humanity of Greater Fort Wayne. In addition, Mark is a past board member for the Ohio Hospital Association, the Greater Dayton Hospital Association, the Ohio State Health Network and the Indiana Rural Healthcare Association.
Mark has been married to his beautiful wife Shelly, a native of Texas, for 24 years. They have 5 children and 5 (almost 6) grandchildren.
Doors open at 3:15 p.m. for light refreshments and drinks. The discussion will start at 3:45 p.m. Join us for an intimate conversation with Mark. Seats are limited – reserve your spot today!
