MKM is pleased to announce Viviane Bentes, an architect & interior designer with over 20 years of experience, has joined the team.
MKM architecture + design Principal, Zach Benedict, speaks with innovators who discuss the current issues impacting community health. The Health is Membership series is based around honest discussions about problems and solutions to some of the most pressing topics today.
In this episode of Health is Membership, MKM architecture + design sits down with Jane Ellery to discuss the connection of places and health. This conversation touches on her research and contributions to develop a better understanding of the relationship between engagement, placemaking, and well-being.
For years, Dr. Ellery’s research has focused on collaborative change efforts, participatory approaches, and community-centered processes that aim to redefine collective placemaking. A long-term faculty member at Ball State University, and a member of the Project for Public Spaces Leadership Council, her work has inspired numerous discussions about the future of community development and its responsibility to understand and appreciate how the build environment influences the social determinants of health.
