House Investments, LLP led a groundbreaking ceremony for the commencement of the second phase of the McKinnie Commons development, previously known as Village Premier. The ceremony marked the construction of a new medical clinic that Meridian Health Services will manage to provide primary care, behavioral health, a pharmacy, and additional care services. For nearly 50 years, Meridian Health Services has focused on “whole-person” health, integrating physical, mental, and social well-being.
The project marks a significant step in development, representing a $4.5 million investment and affording underserved families access to a wide variety of health services they may otherwise not receive. Construction is slated to be completed in Spring 2025.
“This partnership will enhance the fabric of the community by delivering essential healthcare services to the neighborhood. This collaboration underscores the power of public-private synergy, made possible by the steadfast support of the City of Fort Wayne and the Northeast Indiana Regional Development Authority and the Indiana Economic Development Corporation,” said Matt Gadus, Chief Investment Officer, House Investments
Additionally, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held to celebrate the completion of Park’s Edge Apartments, the development’s first phase, which included the construction of 208 market-rate apartments, a clubhouse, and public common areas. Future phases will consist of approximately 50 affordable apartments for individuals age 55+, market-rate townhomes, 12 single-family homes, and an early learning center.
Once the development is complete, the anticipated total investment over all three phases of design by MKM architecture + design will be in excess of $55 million.
