Renovation of the Ascension St. Vincent Hospital oncology department expands the hospital’s service line to offer increased care for patients in the surrounding communities. The design included updates to the existing oncology suite to maximize cancer care capacity within the facility. Nine infusion bays and several private exam rooms provide both inpatient and outpatient infusion. A new PET/CT was added to the department increasing patient access and care. New registration, waiting areas, and added support spaces improve staff efficiency, patient access, and flow throughout the department.

The renovation prioritizes patient privacy and comfort through unique interior design elements. Rebranding and wayfinding were implemented for a better patient experience. Semi-private infusion bays are separated by graphic dividers featuring calming imagery of the outdoors. The bays feature TV monitors and specialty lighting controlled by the patient, allowing for personalization and comfort.
